This is a possible dashboard to evaluate how a Project Management Department can track their progress so to evaluate how they are doing. So for example, these could be the key performance indicators that are tracked –
Percentage of projects that went live when planned
Percentage of projects that were delivered by budget
Percentage of projects that were delivered as per forecast from PM (maybe a project was sold at a loss so not fair to grade the PM and department on the sold budget)
Sold budget for all projects v actual cost to implement projects – is the company selling at a loss or consistently under budgeting projects
Forecast spend v actual cost to implement projects
Sold budget v actual cost to deliver projects
Pay back period of implementation costs

75%+ good
50 to 75% – many areas for improvement
Less than 50% – either the predictions are totally wrong so this needs to be changed or there is a culture of failure to deliver projects is acceptable.
Leas than 25% – department is broken
