We should all aim for Win-Win

There are 4 types of transactions between two parties –
Lose-Lose
Lose-Win
Win-Lose
Win-Win

Lose-Lose is where both parties get nothing or both parties are damaged from the transaction. Here there has been a failure to find a common ground to make a Win-Win.

Lose-Win and Win-Lose is where one party does better out of the transaction at the expense of the other, e.g. high fees for poor service or product.

Win-Win is where both parties feel that they have got greater value out of the transaction than they put in.

In order to build a long term and productive relationship plus to ensure that others want to work with you in the future then it is best to always go for a Win-Win transaction. This is because people remember when they have been taken advantage off and left in a bad situation.

A lesson that is learnt quickly in a Win-Lose and Lose-Win situation is that people remember if you f*cked them over and that the price for working with a*seholes is too high.
