Client asks the outsourcing provider to tell them their own requirements and if the provider does not tell the client the client’s requirements then the go live is delayed and it is the provider’s fault.
So in the client’s view, while they do not know what they want or how they do the process now that they are trying to outsource, the client believes that it is the outsourcing provider’s job to tell the client how the client does the process they want to outsource now and all the information associated with this internal task.
This means that the outsourcing provider has to ask the client on behalf of the client to tell the client how the client does the process so the client can tell the outsourcing provider that this is how they do the process that they want to outsource.
