Country and cultural sensitivity for data

Knowing that data can be stored correctly in a system and also flow to other systems is very important.

Especially regarding someone’s name. Therefore, testing should include country specific name tests, for example in Spain it is common for people to have 2 surnames and even 4 names e.g. “Maria Jose Gonzalez Cruz”.

In the past I have seen name tests to follow an English or American style name test using dummy names such as “John Test”.

When implementing a product that holds names in many different countries and cultures it is vital that a person’s name can be stored or received correctly.
