Learn something new. It is important in a project that both me and the project team take advantage of any opportunities to teach ourselves something new and useful. As well as give us the chance to try something new such as role shadowing, sitting in a meeting that we would not normally be invited to etc.
Standardization. We stand on the shoulders of giants so we should learn from and use what has worked before. While taking the time to create and improve upon any standard practices, processes and templates. This is always challenging on projects as time to improve processes in not included in the project plan or encouraged due to time pressures to always be focusing on the now and not to think about helping ourselves or the organisation be better in the future.
Repeatability of excellence. Links to the previous value. If something works well, then we should all use it. Projects and people need to learn from each other. Therefore lessons learned about what went well or badly in projects are such an important source of information in an organization.
Management of precedents. Be mindful that what is done early on in a project or program will set the expectations for what comes later.
